The partnership is already for action, with Guinevere Capital planning to “build the foundations” to get London Spitfire in 2021 through local commercial relationships and connecting with the UNITED KINGDOM community. The advisory and expenditure firm has tapped Duncan McMonagle, formerly of Second Media, and Jason Udbyder, former of Microsft plus OMEN by HP, to be able to bolster the commercial achievement of the Overwatch League business.
Dan Fiden, Director of Cloud9, spoke in the decision in a release: “When Cloud9 made the decision to invest in Overwatch League, we knew signing up for live events, marketing, plus commercial operations in the UK might be a challenge. When we connected with they at Guinevere, their skills in traditional sports, mass media, and esports in The european union, this convinced us of which they’d be the right spouse to build the business with. Community support will ensure the team grows up from a commercial and local community standpoint.
“The city-team process has been very profitable in generating local supporter bases that go beyond esports. It’s important for us to utilize a partner that understands typically the city-based structure and how to boost the potential this can offer. To get London Spitfire to develop tough connections to fans plus partners having local assistance is vital.”

As properly as its ties with Stand out Esports, Guinevere Capital has got the Esports High Performance Centre plus Oceanic esports brands LG ELECTRONICS Dire Wolves, Sydney Fall Bears, N8 Esports, plus Supastellar in its portfolio.
David Harris, Managing Representative of Guinevere Capital, extra: “There is huge prospective in the UK esports scene typically under-developed when you compare it towards the rest of the world. For Guinevere, the opportunity to work with London Spitfire will allow us to work throughout two major British models, cementing ourselves within the area. My background is in standard sports which has a great deal of synergy with the vision behind city-based esports teams and constructions.
“My ambition would be to help develop the UK plus European esports ecosystem and help organisations such as Manchester Spitfire and British Typhoon, two immensely talented groups, stand out from the crowd, get their voice heard amongst the local community and to gain the attention of brand name partners.”
Esports Insider says: This appears to be a test run to see if the brand new approach works for each – if so, we assume London Spitfire to be obtained by Guinevere Capital. When that indeed happens, in that case having Spitfire and Stand out Esports affiliated makes a great deal of sense. Either way, this is a significant move for the Overwatch Little league that perhaps indicates a few of the challenges presented by the geolocated competition.
