UK Federal Credit Union secures naming rights to Esports Lounge

The University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union (UKFCU) has acquired the naming rights to an esports facility which can be to be built on the campus of the University of Kentucky.

The UK Federal Credit Union Esports Lounge and Theater will behave as the hub for the university’s esports program.

The 13-year naming rights deal builds on a relationship between the two parties which began in 1937 if the UKFCU was founded. Recently, the university entered a partnership with Gen.G Esports to build its esports program.

David Kennedy, President and CEO of the UKFCU, commented on the deal in a release: “We are very excited to be the official sponsor of the Esports Lounge at the University of Kentucky. The investment our credit union is making in UK’s new esports program represents our commitment to pioneer and cultivate new technological innovation and ideas for a large gang of students.

“While standard sports teams are tied to a smaller population of the college student body, we view esports as an opportunity for all learners to participate. UKFCU is definitely proud to have served great britain community for 83 a number of we are excited to grow us for the next generation.”

The center is set to open in the Fall together with will contain over 50 gaming computers, consoles, and space to enable esports events to take place.

Eric In. Monday, University of Kentucky Vice President for Finance together with Administration, added: “The university or college is grateful to acquire the UK Federal Credit Association on the naming of the Esports Lounge and Theater inside Cornerstone. This innovation together with retail space is vital in order to supporting our community’s accomplishment, and, through this alliance, we can further create a collaborative space for thoughtful community-building and engagement.”

Esports Insider says: Presented the history between the two celebrations, it’s not a huge shock to see the UKFCU get even more involved. Soon to be pre-loaded with a great, purpose-built facility, the particular university’s esports program is a great position to produce results.
